Dear Friends,
As outgoing Chief Executive of BE FRIENDS, may I take this opportunity to say that a wonderful experience it has been over the last few years to be involved in our Club in this way. I would like to extend a big THANKS to everyone who has helped to make this term so productive and delightful, specially, all the executive committee members and sub-committee members, Women’s Forum, helpful parents, understanding children and lastly but not least all those friends who have attended our events and made it all worth-while.
As I encapsulates my experience throughout my term of office, I can describe it as a turbulent one. What interesting to note is that amidst all the turbulences during the past two years, there were persons who assisted me and for that I offer my sincerest gratitude. My family continues to be a force to reckon with in terms of support and for that I offer to them my deepest gratitude.
I was very fortunate to have worked with friends of different styles. Those who were quiet but effective; those with great courage; those who were compassionate, and to cement it, all those colleagues of the Executive Committee who were dedicated to the cause of a much stronger Be Friends and be able to develop a more effective working system within our Club.
I want to publicly thank all my colleagues for the support given to this office; your patience and, by far, your understanding throughout the period.
I am leaving this office not with a lot of excitement and satisfaction having completed a rigorous term of office, but with the feeling that I accomplished most of what I set out to do. At the same time, I feel somewhat disappointed because some of the things that I had planned did not get done. As I pass on the baton to the new President I do so with all my best wishes to him and to assure him that I will be there to see him through his office years.
