Badminton Tournament

ബി ഫ്രണ്ട്സിന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില് പതിനൊന്നാം തവണയാണ് ടൂര്ണമെന്റ് ഒരുക്കുന്നത്. പ്രവാസി സ്വിസ്സ് മലയാളികളിൽ ഇപ്പോള് ഷട്ടില് ബാഡ്മിന്റണ് ഒരു ഹരമായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ് . ഈ ആവേശം തെളിയിക്കുന്നതായിരുന്നു ടൂര് ണമെന്റിന്റെ വിജയം. രാവിലെ പത്തുമണിക്ക് ആരംഭിച്ച മത്സരങ്ങള് കാണാനും മത്സരിക്കുന്നവർക്കു ആവേശം പകരുവാനും സ്വിസ്സിലെ നാനാ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും കായിക പ്രേമികൾ എത്തുകയുണ്ടായി.

അഞ്ചു വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലായി നടന്ന ടൂര്ണമെന്റിന്റെ ഔപചാരികമായ ഉത്ഘാടനം സൂറിച്ചിലെ ആധ്യാത്മിക ഗുരുവായ ഫാദർ വർഗീസ് നടക്കൽ നിര് വഹിച്ചു. സെക്രടറി പ്രിൻസ് കാട്ടുകൂടി സ്വാഗതവും സ്പോർട്സ് ക്വിനർ റെജി പോൾ ടൂർണമെന്റിന്റെ നടപടിക്രമങ്ങള് വിവരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു . ഇന്ഡോര് കോർട്ടിൽ വച്ച് നടന്ന ആവേശകരമായ മല്സരത്തില് മുപ്പത്തഞ്ചിൽ പരം ടീമുകള് മത്സരിച്ചു.

ടൂര്ണമെന്റില് ബോയ്സ് സിംഗിള് സില് റിനോയ് മണവാളൻ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും, പുരുഷവിഭാഗം ഡബിള്സ് ഒന്നാം കാറ്റഗറിയിൽ ഫെബിൻ സിവിൻ ടീം ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും രണ്ടാം കാറ്റഗറിയിൽ ജെയിൻ ഷിജു ടീം ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും പുരുഷവിഭാഗം ഡബിള്സ്, 45 നു മുകളിലുള്ളവരുടെ മത്സരത്തിൽ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം സെബി സോബി ടീമും മിക്സഡ് ഡബിള്സ് വിഭാഗത്തിൽ ബെൻസണ് ,ഏറിക്ക ടീമും ട്രോഫികൾ കരസ്തമാക്കുകയുണ്ടായി ടൂർണമെന്റിലെ ഏറ്റവും നല്ല കളിക്കാരനായി സ്വിസ്സിലെ യുവ താരം റിനോയ് മണവാളൻ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപെട്ടു. കളികൾ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചത് മോനിച്ചൻ നിലവൂരാണ്.
