Dear Friends,
Season greeting to all,
It’s my “farewell note” as I am now officially the “Past President” of Be Friends Switzerland. This went into effect at the last our Annual General Body Meeting, It has held on 19th December at Zurich. Please know that I am not going far, as I will remain on the Board for the next two years serving as your “Past President”- Ex officio, so I will still be active with Be Friends.
I have cherished my two terms (2010/11- 2014/15) as President of Be Friends, It has been a great experience working with my team. It has been my pleasure to serve as your President on our Association these past two years. As I shared in my President’s report in General Body.The journey will be hard and challenging. There will be obstacle along the way. There will be disagreements. But at the end, we will act and come together to achieve our goals. All the activities that we organised evoked a very warm response from the members and from public and we started new charity projects. I had followed past Presidents footsteps and made some amazing strides with new initiatives for our organization with the great support of the Executives, coordinators and the outstanding team work from all! Braving all odds, Be Friends had grown strength to strength, year after year with the profuse support and co-operation of our members and the Swiss Malayalee community.
I stand here with a deep sense of humility and appreciation to the members of this association for their support. I would like to extend thanks to our Secretary for his hard work and dedication. Also thanks to Treasurer for the good financial control.I would like to thank my fellow Executive Committee who has worked tirelessly with me over the last two years, and also thanking to Coordinators, Women’s Forum, Youth Forum and Members. I can say we succeeded not only by my efforts but because of your faith. You have all been exceptional. I hope you will keep this spirit alive. You have been my inspiration all the way, the reason I never gave up and today I salute you all.
I want to apologize to all, if I have hurt, offended or simply appalled, whether wittingly or unwittingly. I don’t think, I’ve made enemies, but I know, I have found, quite a few new friends.
I encourage everyone to join me in welcoming our new President, Mr. Prince Kattrukudiyil, as he is now Be Friends President for the next two years and no doubt will continue with his special gifts and talents in maintaining a steady stride on improvements and new initiatives for Be Friends. I am confident that our incoming President, will guide our club to even higher levels of achievement in the coming years. Congratulations and best wishes to Incoming President Mr. Prince Kattrukudiyil, Secretary Mr. Binny Vengappally, Treasurer Mathew Manikuttiyil and the incoming Board, for other great years! Thank you all again for all of your great support in making the last two years, serving as your President, an experience that I will always be grateful to have been a part of with all of you! I look forward now to contributing in different ways for next two years as Ex-officio of Be Friends Executive board.
